Chapter Info


The purpose of the Contra Costa Chapter:

  • To provide opportunities for MOAA members who live in Contra Costa County and vicinity to serve the community and support local Veterans events.

  • To support JROTC programs in or near Contra Costa County.

  • To be an effective local advocate for relevant Veterans or national security issues of concern to us, as military officers, by using our professional knowledge and experience as officers of our armed forces to be thoughtful leaders and influencers in our community on these issues.

  • To provied opportunities to share camaraderie with fellow officers.


The Contra Costa County Chapter:

  • Actively supports the JROTC programs at three high schools in Contra Costa County.
  • Serves as a local advocate for relevant Veterans or natonal security through legislative liaison.
  • Promotes social events where fellow military officers may socialize.
  • Conducts or participates in fund raising for:
    • Scholarships for JROTC cadets.
    • Scholarships for spouses and dependent children of active duty military stationed in the Bay Area.
    • Events scheduled by other Veterans Service Organizations (VSO).  Semi-annual East Bay Veterans Stand Downs.
